Pincoy MobiStor is primarily a Mobile Storage ( external drive for mobile phone) based on SSD technologies.

Most of the Mobile phones run out of user's storage space within 5-6 months of new mobile purchase. Our chat apps , pictures and videos tend to fillup all the available storage space sooner than we realize. After this, phone becomes slow and the user need to delete photos/videos and apps frequently to make the space for new photos, videos or apps/games.

There are options of cloud storage available to users but they are costly, dependent on internet connectivity and most importantly, it exposes the data for hacking and privacy breach.

You can also do data exchange between your various systems.

With 64 GB storage of your mobile, you can store only 15 no of 4GB HD videos and you will left with very less space to run your mobile and work with apps like WhatsApp, Facebook etc. Eventually, you need to delete apps to make space for others. Mobile phone OS also requires large storage. Hence you need more storage to work with your mobile.

You can keep all your data in Pincoy and keep all your apps etc. in your 64 GB in-built storage of your mobile. Whatever money you are spending to upgrade your 32GB mobile phone to 64GB Mobile phone, you will need less than half of it to double your storage capacity from 64GB to 120GB.

Pincoy MobiStor is much safer than pen drives or SD card, as it is protected with error correction mechanism.

It is very safe against any freefall, as there is no moving part. ( unlike Hard Disk Drives).

It is like cash in your wallet. It is wallet storage. You carry your data in wallet along with your currency/coin.

Our experience says, majority of people use drive without password protection even if password protection is provided with drive. Moreever, in password protected drive, if user forget the password, there is no way to retrieve data without formating the drive which completely delete the data.

Also, MobiStor is a Wallet SSD , meaning, you can carry this in your wallet. And we rearly loose our wallet, if fact, its like currency note. As currency note has no password protection, still its safe with you.

MobiStor is more than 14 times faster than USB 3.0 OTG /Flash drives and more than 5 times faster than external hard disk drive.

MobiStor works with standard apps “File” in Android so there is no need of additional app.

You can connect mobile with pincoy through adapter and cable. Generally, Android phone has two types of connecting port - either USB 2 Micro connector or USB 3.1 Type C. We have provided both types of connectors/adapters inside the box. You need only one type of adapter with your phone. Please check your phone for more details.

MobiStor has USB 3.1 type C interface.

Use the micro USB OTG adapter (gray/black color) provided with the cable ( which has Type C to Type A connector). Connect cable Type C connector towards MobiStor and Type A (male) connector to micro USB OTG adapter (type A female) and micro USB connects to mobile.

Use the USB 3.1 Type C OTG adapter (silver color) provided with the cable (which has Type C to Type A). Cable Type C connector goes towards MobiStor and Type A (male) connected.

Cable Type C connector goes towards MobiStor and Type A (male) connects to system directly.

Yes, this can be connect to iMac, MacBook, Window & Linux system. However, currently iPhone & iPad connectivity is not there.

It can be connected to Laptop, Desktop, iMac, MacBook, Tablet, Smart TV , Car stereo etc.

Microsoft Window 7 and above, Or Apple Mac OS x 10.7 , Or Android Marshmallow (ver 6.0) or above and most of the versions of Linux.

All OTG enabled Android/Windows OS mobile phones are compatible with it.

ASMT 2115 is signature of USB 3.1 adapter and driver which is connected to Pincoy SSD module.

Check the “setting” of the phone. There are option to enable or disable OTG.

Alternatively, download “USB OTG Checker” or “EasyOTGChecker” app from Google play to see the status.

Yes, you can. For exchanging data across various OS, first you need to format the MobiStor drive in Android environment (or with ExFAT file system), then you will be able to transfer the data in cross platform.

If you have not formatted your MobiStor in Andorid environment, Window format will not be compatible with Android format. For cross-operating system compatibility, you need to format the MobiStor in Android environment by connecting to android mobile phone and follow the instructions to format.

Yes you can. Both program and data can be loaded in MobiStor and program can be executed from drive itself.

As long as your app / game supports the storage of user data on external drive, MobiStor will work without any problem.

Pincoy is mythological name of Sealion in South American countries. Sealion has a highest memory retention among all animal species. Also it walks/swims across different terrain – land and seas . Our product derives these quality from Sealion.

MobiStor name is derived for its usage as Mobile - Storage (external drive for mobile).

MobiStor carries three years of limited warranty against any manufacturing defects. Warraty is for repair or replacement.

Product carries 3 years of warranty from the date of purchase from authorized channel (a proof of purchase is needed) or 3 years + 2 months from date of manufacturing whichever comes earlier

Warranty covers only MobiStor SSD drive against any manufacturing defect

Dstor Technologies does not provide any warranty on data stored in Pincoy MobiStor under any circumstances. For details read warranty policy.

MobiStor is like any other storage devices. Virus protection is required from host operating system's side. It is advisable to have proper antivirus program installed on your host system and update regularly to prevent any loss of data due to virus.

Pincoy warranty service “Flying Boat Service” is a door step service. Once the product RMA is logged, a courier person will pickup MobiStor from your door step and deliver back to your doorstep after repair or replacement. Currently, this service is available only in India. Slowly this will be expanded to other countries.
